Probably the best video captured at the lake to date. We have been having a heck of a time maintaining bird feeders, always destroyed, poles bent, and often 100 feet away from the original location. I’ve suspected some sort of creature around. Now we know!
UPDATE 6/10/2012 – I thought there was only 2 cubs, but if you watch the updated video you can see 4 total cubs! Looks like they were playing to start then roaming up the driveway waiting for the last one to pop out right at the end. I’ve provided a picture as well below:
Fantastic!!!! But pretty freaky too. What is the date of the video, Shannon? We saw a nice black bear on the way home last week near Amery.
The video was captured June 5, 2012 at 12:30 PM.
I had a mom and 4 cubs on my patio last Tuesday night (so close to the patio door, I could of opened it and grabbed one of the cubs).
Bob: Probably wise that you didn’t.
We saw a mother bear and 3 cubs cross the road by the landing on May 18.
Well I sure hope we don’t have 3 different moms with different numbers of cubs!
Check out the updated video, I was able to download the row video feed from the camera software and found there were actually 4 cubs, a total family of 5!
oh great
Wow was up on largon that day; didn’t see any bears that night; but we did see a bear over by Spencer wed. evening; turning over logs looking for grubs.
